Carver Community Center Wetland Delineation

Overview

Wetland delineations are a process that relies on hydrology, soil characteristics, and vegetation composition to determine whether the area should be classified as a wetland. Carver Community Center has two wetlands on site, one small-sized one at ~0.5 acres and one moderately sized at ~1.5 acres. Our team used their expertise to understand how recreational activities had altered the landscape through the introduction of non-native species and continued management of the area. This delineation helped pave a path for the City of Chattanooga to one day fully restore the area to its former state.
